PSAT signups for JUNIORS ONLY ends on September 29th or when space runs out. The cost is $15.00. National Merit Scholarships based on PSAT scores can only be earned when the test is taken as a junior. You will receive your scores 6-8 weeks after taking the test. The results will be correlated to the score you would most likely receive on the SAT. If you would like to practice the types of questions that you will see on the test, go to www.collegeboard.com. You can receive at “SAT QUESTION OF THE DAY” at http://sat.collegeboard.org/practice. It is also available as an app on your smartphone. Sophomores are automatically registered for the test and will not cost anything.
Retake Picture Day is Friday. Students must have their envelope with payment or the pictures they want to return.

To support students and families affected by Hurricane Irma, the College Board will offer a free November SAT registration and a CSS Profile fee waiver for all interested Palm Beach County students. The free November SAT registration and CSS Profile fee waiver are for students who are experiencing hardship and/or displacement due to the hurricane and are in an area designated by FEMA, which includes Palm Beach County.•Students who are already registered for the November 4th SAT should call Customer Service to receive a refund of their registration and late fee.To reach Customer Service, please call 866-756-7346.

Are you feeling anxious or stressed? Having a hard time focusing, or just need some quiet downtime in the middle of the day? Come join Kindred Spirits as we learn and practice techniques to feel calm, centered, and compassionate at the new Monday Mindfulness Club. The first meeting will be held on Monday, September 25th in the parking lot behind K building during the first half of lunch. Dr. Leach will facilitate.
Student Outreach Club is sponsoring a school supply drive to support those schools affected by Hurricane Irma. Specifically, we have sponsored with The Blanchard’s Anguilla Children’s Fund to help bring supplies to needy children and teachers affected by the devastation. Some specific items that will be needed are: pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, copy paper, charts, and supplies for teachers. Look for the flyers around the school for more specific items. Please bring all materials to Mr. Hoy in A-108 before Friday, October 6th.
On October 3rd, the first meeting of the G-Star Thespian’s Tech Club will take place during the first half of lunch. If you are interested in technical theater, this is the club for you. We will meet in the black box, room H-101. We look forward to seeing you there!

Free lunch to all students from Monday, September 18th through Friday, October 20th. Also, breakfast is always free year round in Palm Beach County for all schools.
Due to missing the last 7 serving days, the temporary approval expiration date for students on prior year status who have not yet submitted an application for this year and who are not directly certified has been changed from September 27th, 2017 to October 6th, 2017. Students who expire on October 6th will not have to begin paying for lunch until Monday, October 23rd, after the hurricane waiver ends.
GSA will meet Wednesday after school in J219 from 2:45 – 4 for activity day.
