Attention Seniors, Prestige will be on campus November 9th and 10th to take your formal portraits for the yearbook. The sign-up sheet is posted on the yearbook bulletin board outside room J-219. Be sure to sign up soon to get your desired time slot. There is a $20 sitting fee charge. You are not required to purchase additional photos. Assistance is available for students who are unable to pay the sitting fee. Please see Mr. Weiss to make arrangements or with any additional questions.
Students may wear costumes for Halloween. Costumes must follow dress code guidelines. Students may not wear mask . Students may not cover their face with make-up in a way that does not make them recognizable. Weapons of any kind are not allowed.
Free Your Mind Women’s Empowerment club will meet Wednesday during lunch and after school in portable O, Ms. Jensen’s room.

On Wednesday, November 1st, if you are interested in boosting your acting resume, show up to the studio in K building to audition for roles in a student production. Auditions will be held during the first half of lunch and after school. Remember, Wednesday, November 1st. We’ll see you there!
The G-Star Theatre Department will be holding a fundraiser at Chipotle in Greenacres from 5 – 10 PM on Wednesday, November 1st. Go to Chipotle and show a physical or digital copy of the fundraising flier to the cashier. 50% of each order will go to the theatre department. Come join us and thank you for your continued support of the theatre department.
Attention Seniors, if you are looking to have some holiday fun, come out and audition for the 2017 Holiday Show, Humbug High. No previous acting experience is required. Sign up to audition in H building on the callboard. Auditions are October 30th at 3 PM. You will either need to prepare a monologue or a short poem no longer than 1 minute. Attention Seniors! Senior quote forms are here! Come by in the morning before the first bell or after school. They will be on the front desk now until November 17th. Any and all inappropriate slang or phrases will not be acceptable and the form will be sent back to you. Turn the form in with a baby picture in an envelope to either the Senior Yearbook team or Mr. Weiss in J-219.
The US History teachers have set up weekly lunch tutoring starting this week of Quarter 2 (week of November 2nd). This tutoring will be during the first half of lunch from 11 – 11:30 AM on Tuesday through Thursday of every week. Tutoring will be held in J-109, J-110, J-111. Students who received lower than a 70% average on their Quarter 1 tests and quizzes, or students who scored a D or an F overall in Quarter 1, are required to attend one tutoring session per week (of their choosing). Mr. Jean-Jacques, Mr. Dwyer and Mr. Cramer will be leading the tutoring from Tuesday to Thursday each week. See instructors for any questions.
