Reminder to all, College Club wants to help you prep for college.  You’ll learn about essays, FAFSA, and much more.  College Club is held every Tuesday, the first half of lunch in A-115, Mr. Lunsfords room.  Please stop by!

 

Juniors and Seniors, visit our G-Star facebook for more information on class rings, diploma plaques, and other fun items.  The front desk has extra ring flyers if you would like one.

 

Art Club members and friends, come to Art Club today after school to K-104 to prepare for the Art Club sponsored spooky event.  We will finish at 4:00 today.

 

Art Club?  Come to Art Club to put the finishing touches on our Spooky Event project!  K-104.

 

First Priority will be meeting Thursday after school in room A-108.  Everyone is welcome.  Bring a friend.  Snacks will be provided.  Hope to see you there!

 

Student Outreach Club will be meeting Tuesday during the first half of lunch.  We will be discussing some upcoming events, fundraisers, and our next G-Star Beautification project.  If you are interested in being a part of the Outreach Club, join us Tuesday during lunch in A-108.

 

Are you interested in learning more about music or music theory?  Do you play an instrument?  Or would you like to learn?  Come to Symphony Club today after school in A-108.

 

G-Star Grandparents Day is a wonderful way to show your family where you learn and thrive.  On November 7th at 1:15, your grandparents and other family members will have the opportunity to receive a tour of the school and see Our Town, the theater departments fall show.  Students whose family attends will be called out during 7th block to enjoy this time with their family.  It’s $25 per person attending excluding the student.  Money is due by November 2nd.  See Mr. Edgecomb or Alexa Portnoy for more details.

 

The Yankee Candle Fundraiser has ended.  Be sure to turn in your payment envelopes to Mr. Weiss in J-219 by the end of the day on Tuesday if you want your orders to be delivered by Thanksgiving and to be eligible for prizes.  Thank you to everyone who participated.

 

Attention all Seniors!  The senior superlative elections will take place on Wednesday, November 31st during lunch.  In addition, the yearbook team will be accepting senior quotes and baby pictures until Friday, November 26th.  Make sure to participate and leave your mark on the yearbook, it’s your last chance to do so.

 

Come to Spanish Club!  It’s a great opportunity for students to practice the language, review, and expand your vocabulary.  Tutoring occurs every first half of lunch on Mondays in J-209.

 

Attention all NHS members, there will be a mandatory meeting this Wednesday for all NHS members during the first half of lunch.  We will meet in A-108.  If you cannot make it,  you must let the Parliamentarian or Mr. Hoy know before the meeting.

Toddler Tuesday if your chance to revisit the past and wear an outfit you would have worn as a child.

October 31st is Hallo-Wednesday.  Dress in your Halloween costumes, but remember dress code still applies.  You may not wear masks that fully cover your head or carry weapons, fake or otherwise.

Thurdays is Cowboys vs Aliens.  Sound confusing?  It’s really not.  Take your pick between country/western or sci-fi and prepare for a high-noon showdown at lunch.

On Friday, wear your class colors.  This year we are giving it a neon twist in honor of the yearbook theme:  Freshmen wear neon green, Sophomores wear neon yellow, Juniors wear neon red,  Seniors wear neon blue!  As always, faculty and staff wear their Friday black and blues.

Be sure to stop by the yearbook photo-booth every day.  You can purchase 4×6 souvenir photos for $3 or full page prints for $5.  Show your spirit all week beginning Monday, October 29th.

 

 

Join the Culture Club today, October 22nd!  We will learn about other cultures and have the opportunity to teach others about your culture.  Culture Club will show the importance of diversity and acceptance.  Come join us in Ms. Asca’s J-211 for dancing, painting, and other activities during the first half of lunch.  See you there!
