Room J219 from 2:30 - 4:00 every Wednesday.
The G.S.A., or gay/straight alliance, is a group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth, as well as their heterosexual allies.
 
Last years events included:
 A campaign to promote appropriate language at school.
 A guest speaker from Compass who presented a workshop on HIV awareness and perceptions.·       Weekly discussion groups on specific and general GLBT issues.
Participation in the Pride-fest parade in Lake Worth, where we walked proudly with the G-Star banner.       Movie afternoons. (Milk, Ma Vie en Rose, Paris is Burning…)

This year we will continue our mission to promote tolerance and compassion toward all people. We hope to conduct a student-run teacher’s awareness workshop, to participate in Pride-fest again and to continue to support and provide a safe place for the school’s LGBT youth and their allies. G.S.A. meets Wednesdays in Mr. Weiss’ room, J-219, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm and welcomes everyone interested in attending.
