100 G-Star Students Work On “Winter Wonderland" at G-Star Studios

(Palm Springs, FL October 2011) - The owner of NBC and Universal Studios made snow fall this past weekend at G-Star Studios (the newest and most advanced sound stage in the world and the largest in the State of Florida). For twelve local child actors, it was the most wonderful time of the year as they ice-skated on a frozen pond, built a snowman and sang Christmas Carols, all inside the new sound stage at G-Star School of the Arts. The school is the largest Film, Digital Media, and Acting High School in the nation; and the only high school located on the back lot of a major motion picture studio.

Creative Producer, David Niles, and The Niles Creative Group came down from New York City to shoot the finale of the world famous "Comcast Holiday Spectacular" show that will be shown at The Comcast Center in Philadelphia during this holiday season on the largest HD screen in the world. Comcast owns E! Entertainment, The Golf Channel, SyFy Channel, USA Network, MSNBC as well as NBC and Universal Studios.

The Niles Creative Group was founded in 1986 by David Niles, who designed, built and operated the world's first HDTV Studio back in 1984. He was responsible for shooting the first HDTV feature film, TV commercial, music video and documentary. Starting his innovative career in Paris, France, by creating the "on-air look" of three European television networks, he earned the prestigious "Chevalier des Arts et Lettres" from the French Government. In 1987, Niles created America's first full production facility for HDTV. He and his company, The Niles Creative Group, designed and created all of the content as well as the unique content delivery system for the world's highest definition, 25 feet by 80 feet, 10 million pixel LED screen, housed inside the 1000 feet tall Comcast Center in Philadelphia, PA. Over a quarter of a million people from all over the world are expected to visit The Comcast Center this holiday season and watch "The Comcast Holiday Spectacular 2011".  Please visit www.nilescreative.com and click on “The Comcast Experience” to view a news report.

Since its grand opening last September, G-Star Studios has gained national and international recognition as a destination to shoot major productions. Its state-of-the-art sound stage is the most technologically advanced in the world and was a perfect fit for The Niles Creative Group. Numerous major productions have been shot at G-Star, most recently the feature film "Parker" starring Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham - and G-Star also has something else that sets it apart from the rest of the sound stages worldwide... it's student intern program. All 1100 G-Star Students were given the opportunity to sign up to work as an intern on this production. Over 100 kids in 9th thru 12th grade took advantage of this and worked side-by-side with some of the most highly skilled professionals in the industry. The G-Star School of the Arts students are hard-working, and have more hands-on training than most college and university students. Working everywhere from set construction, lighting, directing, wardrobe and make-up, these kids are putting themselves on the map in the film industry. David Niles was very impressed with the interns that worked on the "Winter Wonderland" shoot and commented that he doesn't even see this level of professionalism at the film colleges in New York City. The Niles Creative Group plans on shooting future productions at G-Star Studios and David looks forward to working with his "interns" again.
