G-Star
TV Show
G-STAR
has already made its mark in the world of television. We
are the only high school in the nation to have our own TV
show on a major network affiliate.

THE
TV SHOW:
The G-STAR TV
Show originated on PAX TV. The show then moved to PBS station WXEL
Channel 42 and began airing into 2 million homes from North Miami to
Vero Beach, where it continues to broadcast new episodes today. The
show has been picked up for its fourth season.
G-Star produces a
weekly half-hour television show that is written, produced, directed
and starred-in by our students. There are thousands of high schools
across the nation that have TV and/or video production classes (16
in Palm Beach County alone). When a student completes their class,
he or she is given a videocassette or DVD of their work. They are
fortunate if their parents see it. At G-Star, our student’s work
is broadcast into two million homes. As you may well see, there is
so much more at stake with a student’s work at G-Star. This is just
one of many reasons our students excel at such a high level.
The show’s
content has ranged from news magazine-type informational shows on
subjects such as a flight in the Goodyear Blimp, deep sea diving and
sky diving to original films and vignettes on a variety of subjects
to behind-the-scenes on major motion picture productions. The show
“wrap-arounds” and “bumpers” are produced in the G-Star TV
Production Studios and show content is shot in locations all over
Palm Beach County. |
