Free Your Mind Women’s Empowerment group, will be collecting donations for the first ever FYM Pop shop. They will accept any lightly used clothing or shoes as well as any art, photography and any other miscellaneous items.  Donation bins will be located in the front office and inside of portable O.  For more information, ask Ms. Jensen.


Tickets for the G-Short Student Film competition are on sale now. $5 for students and teachers, $10 for adults.  Purchase your tickets from Mr. McClory early or buy at the door.  G-Shorts Premiere is Nov. 30th at 7 PM in the sound stage.


Submissions for the Literary Magazine are now open! Although we have a creative writing class, submissions are open to all G-Star students.  We will be accepting submissions until Dec 21st.  This is the chance for all artistically inclined students to be published before heading off to college.  This is a great resume and portfolio builder.  We wish to see many submissions from student, as we want to display the very best works from this school.  Please encourage each other to participate and send their work.  Please e-mail your submission to  Genres include poetry, fiction, non-fiction, script, graphic novel, photography, and art.  Length can be up to 5 pages and only 1 submission per e-mail.  Put the genre and title in the subject line and the name and grade level in the body.


Anyone interested in participating in a Renaissance Faire is welcome to join the X-Scream Team for our latest project. We are looking for character actors and support staff for an event taking place on Saturday, Dec 9th.  Experience with horses is a plus.  This is open to all G-Star students and staff.


First Priority will meet this Thursday in room A-108. There will be fun, food, games, and a great group discussion.  Everyone is welcome.  We hope to see you there!


Artists! Photographers!  Your time to shine is now!  Submit your work for the yearbook to Mr. Weiss in J-219 or refer to posters in all of J and K building!


National Honor Society will be conducting a Food Drive this week to help families in our local communities this holiday season. All non-perishable food items should be brought to Mr. Hoy’s room in A-108.  Thank you for your donation.


Student Outreach club meets every Tuesday for the first half of lunch in room A-108. Anyone who is interested in helping out our school and local community is welcome to join us as we plan different events for the school year.
